✣ As part of Handel and Haydn’s Society’s bicentennial celebration, an installation at the Copley Square BPL will house an exhibit that includes an interactive iPad listening station that I created to showcase the research of my colleague, musicologist Teresa Neff. This app allows listeners to hear how H+H first presented the Hallelujah chorus form Handel’s Messiah, which featured an interesting vocal twist! Listeners can then compare traditional vocal arrangements, a modern H+H recording and individual voice parts from the various arrangements. This exhibit celebrating H+H’s 200 years as a Boston institution is free and open to the public for the full installation period.
